Bushcraft / Outdoor Living Adventure (single day) - £60 per person
Join us as we make our way through the beautiful South Wales countryside foraging for items to use as we develop a small bushcraft camp in order to learn and develop individual skills. Throughout your bushcraft adventure you will cover: Shelter building - using forest materials plus tarp' shelters Fire lighting and maintenance of a fire - using ferro rods, flint and steel with char cloth and bow drill Use of natural materials and cordage Making bushcraft keep-sakes (such as tent pegs, bull-roarers or cordage depending on the season) Use of hammocks An introduction to camp-fire cooking |
Bushcraft and Canoe Adventure (single day) - £50 per person
Immerse yourself in the tradition of open canoeing as we paddle along the Monmouthshire and Brecon canal; exploring the beauty and heritage of the landscape whilst learning how to efficiently paddle your canoe. The journey will be broken down into three phases: a focussed coaching session on the water, a bushcraft session in beautiful woodlands enroute and the return canoe journey with stories, local knowledge plus games and challenges to test your canoe control! Your bushcraft session will include: Shelter building - with woodland materials as well as tarp' shelters Making bushcraft keep-sakes (such as tent pegs and nettle cordage, depending on the season) Fire lighting - with ferro rods plus traditional flint and steel strikers with char cloth *this adventure requires a minimum of three people to run, however, we are happy to mix groups to make up the numbers for you |
Campfire Cooking Adventure (single day) - £65 per person
Follow in the footsteps of the Native Americans and Voyageurs, as they lived in the wilderness, by learning how to cook over open camp-fires using traditional methods and cast iron cookware. This adventure day will give you the knowledge to lit and maintain a fire and to cook a range of foods, from snacks to impressive dinners, while indulging yourself in a cosy bushcraft camp and real outdoor living. We will provide the: Fire, and tools needed to create and maintain it Ingredients needed to cook a snack, starter and main meal Crockery and cutlery Tea / coffee / cold drinks Safety equipment ... all you need is an appetite for adventure and a taste for wood smoke! |
